Welcome to Drybrook Rugby Football Club

Founded in 1893, Drybrook Rugby Football Club ("The Squirrels") sits at the heart of the Forest of Dean community. For well over a century, our club has provided a welcoming environment for rugby players, supporters, families, and visitors of all ages.

About Our Club

Drybrook RFC is built on passion, sportsmanship, and strong community values. We field teams across multiple levels:

  • Senior Men's Rugby: Competitive squads offering high-level grassroots rugby.

  • Women's Rugby: A vibrant, growing senior women’s setup.

  • Minis, Junior Boys & Junior Girls: Teams ranging from Under 6s through to Colts, nurturing the next generation of players in a safe, fun setting.

Whether you are a lifelong supporter, a player looking for a new club, or a visiting team traveling to the Forest of Dean, you will always find a warm welcome at the Manning Ground.

Facilities & Clubhouse

Our clubhouse is the vibrant heart of the club—the perfect spot for post-match celebrations, social events, and catching up with fellow supporters. We feature a fully licensed bar, kitchen facilities, and big-screen displays to stream key sporting events throughout the season.

  • Opening Hours: To see when the clubhouse and bar are open, check our Opening Hours.

  • Venue Hire: Interested in booking our space for private functions, parties, or community events? Head over to our Venue Hire page for details on availability and facilities.

Visitor Guidelines & Site Rules

To ensure safety, maintain our pitches, and create an enjoyable atmosphere for all players, parents, and visitors, please take note of our site rules:

🚫 No Dogs on the pitches policy

Dogs are welcome in the clubhouse and the car park however for the safety of all of our players no dogs are allowed on the pitches or the surrounding grass areas.

Doggy Dos & Don'ts

To all our four-legged friends, you are very welcome at Drybrook Rugby Club, however we have a few rules that must be followed.

  • Dogs must be kept on the floor and on a tight lead at all times. There is to be no climbing of furniture.
  • We don’t mind the ‘odd’ woof, but excessive barking and any signs of aggression will not be tolerated
  • Ensure walkways and exits are not blocked by sleeping pooches
  • Dogs are not allowed on the playing fields and ‘toilet breaks’ must take place on the grass verge adjacent to the main road. All dog mess must be picked up and disposed of in the bin.

Many thanks for your help keeping everyone (and every dog) happy!
